Lectures and Seminars

Throughout the year there are seminars, workshops, lecture dinners, and morning talks on a myriad of topics ranging from health and wellness, arts and literature, history, to current events and fashion. Here is just a sampling of past speakers.

Bridge

Both Rubber Bridge and Duplicate Bridge are played at the Garret Club. Both groups have an organizer - Anne Joyce for Duplicate and Evelyn Williamson for Rubber. New additions to the groups are always welcome!

There are opportunities throughout the year to play with others during the week or in a private room. Several levels of lessons are offered throughout the year facilitated by Sapphire Masterpoint Director Kathy Pollock. Private group lessons can also be arranged.

The Garret Club participates in an annual Holiday Bridge luncheon with the Twentieth Century Club and also in an annual Interclub Tournament with TCC and the Chatterbox Club of Rochester - alternating locations.

Lending Library

Garret Club members are avid readers and the monthly bookclub selections provide for lively discussions. The Garret lending library is sustained by member donations: hardcover and paperback: fiction, non-fiction, and large print. There is a simple system for checking books out and returning to provide a comfortable place for browsing and reading.
